COVID-19

WORKSHOPS During the PANDEMIC
How things will work at Yellow Brick Lab as of September 2020

The COVID-19 pandemic makes it necessary for us to adjust our Health & Safety protocols and our operation in general, as the wellbeing of children attending our workshops is our top priority.

We have worked hard these past few months to make sure that we can provide a safe and enjoyable environment in our workshops for all children & our staff / helpers. Following the scientific information available about the virus we have adjusted our operation to meet strict health & safety criteria and the Government’s public health guidelines. Therefore, our workshops are run in a slightly different manner. More details about the protocols that will be followed as of September 2021 will be published on this page closer to the dates that the workshops will start.

Equipment sanitisation

All equipment (LEGO sets & tablet computers) used by the children will be disinfected prior and after every use with ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI).

UVGI is a disinfection method that uses short-wavelength ultraviolet (ultraviolet C or UV-C) light to kill or inactivate microorganisms including COVID-19 (more information can be found here). This is a hospital grade disinfection process approved by the NHS and Yellow Brick Lab has invested in a UVGI chamber in order to sanitise all the sets after every single use.

Hygiene of staff / helpers

Sessions will be run only if all staff is well in their health and it is safe to get in contact with the children.
